Falls can lead to fractures, head injuries, surgery, and months away from work. I help identify what went wrong and who had responsibility for the property.

What matters now

Slip and falls happen in an instant, but recovery can take a lifetime.

Slip and falls are different than just about any other case. There is generally no immediate insurance to pay for medical bills. They are heavily reliant on video evidence and well-documented medical care. You can't just rely on any attorney to know how to properly handle one of these cases.

01

Report the incident

Step one is always to tell the owner, manager, or attendant on duty for an incident report so that everything can be documented appropriately

02

Photograph the condition

Over time, memories fade and evidence can be lost. Make sure you take photographs and videos of the defective condition so that it can be used by me in the future against the negligent party.

03

Identify witnesses

Make sure you get the names of all supervisors and witnesses, along with any phone numbers, so that they can be contacted for depositions while your case is in litigation.

How I help

These cases turn on details that can disappear quickly.

I have the resources to be able to properly put all potential defendants on notice of a serious incident at a commercial property like grocery stores, banks, and office buildings. Just because an attorney says they handle personal injury law does not mean that they are knowledgeable as to how to properly handle a slip & fall accident. You also will need a Delaware attorney because an out-of-state attorney cannot put their name on a Delaware lawsuit.  Don't think that just because you've used a certain attorney in the past for a car accident or work injury, they are going to be knowledgeable as to how to handle these specialized types of cases.

A closer look

Clear answers at a difficult time.

Who am I going to pursue?

We look to pursue every single potential party, such as owners, operators, maintenance, and lessors, who regularly inspect and maintain properties.

What if there was a warning sign?

A sign is one fact, not necessarily the end of the analysis. Its visibility, placement, timing, and whether it adequately addressed the danger may matter.

Why is early investigation important?

Spills get cleaned, video can be overwritten, and damaged areas can be repaired. Preserving evidence early will be critical.
