Start with a simple timeline
Write down when and where the injury happened, who was involved, and what happened afterward. Include your first medical visit, any report you made, and contact from an insurer. If you do not know a detail, say so rather than guessing.
A crash, a fall, a work incident, and a possible medical-negligence case require different investigations. A consultation helps identify the type of issue involved and the next records to request.
Gather the documents you already have
Useful materials may include photographs, incident or police report information, medical discharge papers, claim letters, and wage records. For concerns about medical care, identify the facilities and providers involved and whether you have requested records.
You do not need to delay a call until the file is complete. Evidence can disappear and legal deadlines can apply even while you are receiving treatment. Ask an attorney to review timing for your particular circumstances.
Ask about communication, costs, and next steps
Ask who will handle your case, how you can contact that person, and how you will receive updates. Discuss the fee arrangement, expenses, and the terms of any engagement agreement before deciding to proceed.
You can also ask what must be investigated, what you should preserve, and whether a settlement offer would close out future claims. A responsible evaluation may require records and further investigation; no attorney can promise a particular result.
A conversation is a starting point
My initial consultation is free and confidential. Tell me what happened and what is worrying you most. I can explain what information is needed and whether I may be able to assist.
Sending a website form or reading an article does not create an attorney-client relationship. Avoid including sensitive medical records or detailed confidential information in the initial form; we can discuss how to provide materials after speaking.
